Working families across Wisconsin are paying more at the grocery store and for everyday essentials thanks to costly tariffs that Congressman Bryan Steil voted to support.While sending costs soaring, Steil has also voted for drastic cuts that raise healthcare costs and  rip healthcare away from millions of Americans – all while giving new tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy and big corporations. 

Too many Wisconsin families are struggling to make ends meet, forcing tough budget decisions for families when it comes to shopping for groceries, school supplies, and more – it doesn’t have to be this way. It’s time for Bryan Steil to put an end to these harmful policies and fight for working families instead.

Check the facts:

  • Republican-backed tariffs are sending food costs through the roof: As a result of tariffs backed by President Trump and Republicans like Bryan Steil, food costs are increasing rapidly. As more tariffs go into effect,grocery prices  hit their highest point since 2022. 

  • Congressman Bryan Steil voted to support these costly tariffs. In September, Steil joined Republicans by voting to block challenges to President Trump’s tariffs, giving him the ability to continue implementing them and raising costs on working families.

  • Bryan Steil also voted for the largest Medicaid cut in history, ripping care away from millions of Americans. Earlier this year Steil voted for the Republican Tax Law, which includes “significant cuts to Medicaid, food benefits, and other programs” and rips healthcare away from 10 million Americans.
