What We Stand For

Wisconsinites work hard. Whether on the farm, the factory floor, or Main Street small businesses – we know what it takes to get the job done and support our communities. But today too many folks are struggling to get by and out-of-touch politicians like Bryan Steil and Derrick Van Orden are standing in the way of Wisconsin’s working families. While many Wisconsinites are struggling with rising housing costs, wages not keeping up with the cost of living, and high health care costs, our representatives have continued to oppose meaningful change and relief for our families.

Here’s the reality for Wisconsin families:

Skyrocketing Prescription Drug Costs: In 2017, 22% of Wisconsin residents stopped taking the prescription drugs they need because of costs.
Corporate profits hit a record high of $2.08 trillion in 2022 while working families faced 40-year-high-inflation.
Large Corporations Pay $0. At least 55 of the largest corporations in America paid $0 in federal corporate income taxes in 2020 profits

Our leaders in Washington must focus on growing the economy for middle-class folks and expanding opportunity for all Wisconsinites, not just the wealthy few. That means:

  • Making sure wages and benefits keep up with the rising cost of living

  • Unrigging the tax code so  the  ultra-rich pay their fair share

  • Helping small businesses succeed and not just big corporations

  • Lowering the cost of health care and prescription drugs

  • Expanding access to skills training and apprenticeships that prepare people for good-paying, stable jobs
