 Wisconsin families are paying more every time they go to the grocery store, thanks to costly tariffs that Congressman Bryan Steil voted to support. From pasta to meat to cheese, the everyday ingredients families count on are getting more expensive — and Steil has refused to do anything about it.

Check the facts:

• Tariffs backed by Congressional Republicans like Bryan Steil are sending grocery prices through the roof: As a result of tariffs backed by Rep. Bryan Steil, grocery prices have hit their highest point since 2022. Tariffs apply to the majority of  imported food products and continue to raise prices for consumers.
  

• Even after the Supreme Court struck down some tariffs, prices aren't coming down. Economists warn that consumers likely won't see cheaper prices on food or other essentials even after the Supreme Court struck down many of the Republican tariffs — because the administration has already put new global tariffs in place to replace them.
  

• Tariffs are costing Wisconsin families over $1,000 a year. According to the nonpartisan Tax Foundation, Republicans’ tariffs cost the average American household $1,000 last year and are on track to cost even more this year.

Too many Wisconsin families are already stretched thin — they shouldn't have to pay more just to put dinner on the table. It's time for Bryan Steil to stop protecting the tariffs that are raising our costs and start fighting for the working families he was elected to represent.
