SATURDAY: Opportunity Wisconsin Hosts Free Concert Highlighting Affordability Concerns
Soggy Prairie to headline “Turn Up the Volume, Turn Down the Costs”
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – Saturday night Opportunity Wisconsin will host “Turn Up the Volume, Turn Down the Costs,” a free concert, headlined by bluegrass band Soggy Prairie to shed light on the ongoing affordability crisis Wisconsinites are experiencing.
Families across the Chippewa Valley continue to face mounting daily costs. From soaring gas prices due to the war in Iran to out of control grocery bills and the rising cost of everyday essentials due to tariffs– families are feeling the strain. Representative Derrick Van Orden voted six times to support the war and in support of Trump’s tariffs.
This event is free, and donations of canned food items to Opportunity Wisconsin’s Fill the Gap Winter Essentials Drive are encouraged to help our neighbors in need as winter approaches. A drink ticket will be provided for a donation of a non-perishable food item.
